The NDSGC is able to fund up to 4 or 5 students each summer to complete an internship at a NASA Center. Those eligible include any on-campus undergraduate or graduate student attending a two year college, four year college, or research university in the state of North Dakota.
Summer stipends are $6,000 (with an additional $500 designated to travel costs) for undergraduate students. Graduate Students qualify for $7,500 stipends (with an additional $500 designated to travel costs). NASA accepts applications through OSSI (One Stop Shopping Initiative), a NASA-wide system for the recruitment, application, selection, and career development of undergraduate and graduate students primarily in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.
Apply for NASA internships through the OSSI website .
Summer internship applications are typically due mid-March of the same year. You can also apply to NASA Center Internships for the fall and spring semesters. Check the NASA website for updated application deadlines.
Although NASA Centers sometimes have the ability to offer paid internships, the NDSGC is oftentimes responsible for funding these internships as well. If you are planning on applying for a NASA internship, it is in your best interest to keep us informed! Please contact Caitlin Nolby at: firstname.lastname@example.org regarding your application to a NASA center so that we can keep in touch with you and the NASA centers, and be involved with the internship matching process.
