NDVS/SB Scholarship

The NDSGC, through a partnership with the ND Vision Services/School for the Blind (NDVS/SB), awards an annual NDVS/SB scholarship. Up to five scholarships, from a collective total of $2,500, will be awarded. The amount and number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the number of eligible applicants.

Funding

  • Up to $2,500 per scholarship

Eligibility

The student:

  • must be enrolled at an NDSGC Affiliate College or University
  • must be a U.S. Citizen
  • must be in good academic standing
  • must be pursuing a STEM or STEM Education degree
  • must be eligible for services from NDVS/SB

Nursing majors are ineligible for NDSGC scholarships, per NASA rules and regulations.

Deadline

  • February 15th

How to Apply

Applications for the ND Vision Services/School for the Blind Scholarship will be evaluated using the following criteria. Please review this information prior to submission.

  • Essay addressing the following question, consisting of no more than 500 words: 
    • How has your visual impairment affected your pursuit of a career in a STEM field? Please address how your visual impairment has been potentially both a hindrance and a benefit as you pursue this field.
